MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS – Grades 5-8, Tuesday, March 7, 2017

 

WRESTLERS DID WELL LAST SATURDAY – This past Saturday’s wrestling meet at Bucksport was a great showing for us with several winners for the first time this season!

 

Landon St Peter: went undefeated

Matt Reid: won his first matches of the season 

Carter Garrity:  Won 2 matches

Everett Huckins: won a match

Giannia Anderson:  Won her first career match

 

GRADE 7 FIELD TRIP TODAY – Students from 7S and 7H will be going to the Challenger Learning Center and the Jordan Planetarium first thing this morning. Have a great trip.

 

ROBOTICS CLUB “TEAM 2” STARTS TODAY, MARCH 7 – The first session for Robotics Club – Team 2 starts today, Tuesday, March 7. Students will report to the grade 7 science lab once school is out and each session will go until 4PM. Sessions will continue each Tuesday into May.

 

INTRAMURAL BASKETBALL STARTS TODAY – The plan is to hold Intramural Basketball today from after school until 4:15 in the big gym. Please bring your gear and your permission form so you can play.

 

2nd HOME WRESTLING MEET IS THIS WEDNESDAY – Our second and final home wrestling meet is this Wednesday. It should get underway at 4PM after weigh-in at 3:30PM. Good luck!

 

MARCH MADNESS RAFFLE UPDATE – Three winning tickets were drawn yesterday. Saturday’s winner was Joseph Jordan and won a set of pearls from Quality Jewelers and a Finelli Pizzeria gift card. Sunday’s winner was Stacey Billings who won a Yoga Gift Certificate and a Bud Connection Gift Certificate. Monday’s winner was John Huckins who won a 1 hour Golf Simulaiton from Rush Hour Gaming and a KFC 12 piece meal.

 

HANCOCK COUNTY FOOD DRIVE RUNS ALL MONTH. – If you can bring in a food item for the Hancock County Food Drive, it would be greatly appreciated.

 

8TH GRADE BABY PICTURES WANTED – The Yearbook Club will be collecting baby pictures of 8th graders throughout the month of March. We are looking for 100% participation, so please bring in a picture.
