The Club will run on Tuesday’s and Thursdays after school starting on January 6th until February vacation. Please return the form to Mr. Norwood or to the office.

2. Permission forms for our first trimester reward trip should be returned to the office. They are due no later than Wednesday, December 17, which is the day before the trip.

3. Show choir rehearsal will be on Wednesday this week instead of Thursday (because most everyone will be going on the reward trip) from 3-5 in the elementary music room. If you're playing a game or cheering that day, please drop in if you can before the game.

4. The PTF meeting originally scheduled for today has been cancelled. The next meeting is January 20th at 4:15.

5. Our Winter Concert is today, Tuesday, December 16 at 6:30 PM. The grade 6-8 chorus and grade 6-8 band will be performing.

7. Today and tomorrow are the last two days to purchase raffle tickets for Isabelle the American Girl Doll and for a remote control helicopter and laser tag tanks. Katie and Ellie will be in the main lobby each morning until 8:10 if you’d like to buy tickets. The prize drawing is on Thursday.

8. The 8th grade garden club will meet today in Mr. Ormsby’s room. They will not meet on Friday.

9. Boys’ Varsity Report - Based on the past two seasons of not‐as‐strong‐as‐expected Cohen School varsity and JV teams, the Falcons were looking forward to a good opportunity to jump above the .500 mark for the first time this season. But the Cohen School returned a number of seventh graders who spent the off‐ season growing tall and improving their games. With the Falcons again unable to put the ball in the basket with any consistency in the first half, Cohen jumped to a 32 to 16 halftime lead, showing strong inside play and good outside shooting.

The Falcons returned to the court for the second half determined to make sure that Cohen had to make tougher shots and were successful at improving the defense, holding Cohen to only 13 second half points with Connor Wagstaff, Tyler Mitchell, Riley Grindle and Connor Deraps showing especially aggressive defense. Unfortunately, the shots continued to miss their marks and the Falcons could only score 18 second half points themselves, falling 45 to 34 to Cohen.

Hunter Fernald and Connor Crawford led the team with 7 points each, Isaac Wardwell and Jackson Curtis had 6, and 5, Cam Cote 4, and Atticus Deeny and Tyler Mitchell had 2 points.
After four straight games without a practice, the team will practice today at 4:30, then host Old Town on Wednesday to try to even their record.

10. The JV Girls finished their first half of the season against the Eagles from Cohen last night. It was not the best of games for the Falcons as they fell to the Bangor team by a score of 31 to 10.

Scoring for the Falcons were: Kerrigan Andrews with 2, Kylie Robidoux with 2, and Edie Salzig with 6. The girls have worked hard and have played six games in the last twelve days. They need a rest. There will be no practice until Friday.

11. The JV Falcon boys went on the road for the second straight game Monday evening. Once again our stifling defense got our boys an early lead. Although our team has voted to be competitive more so than split playing time equally, we sat our starters out after the first four minutes of play. They did not return until the end of the fourth quarter. Our reserve PG Matt Reid ran the offense well and poured in 5 points. Isiah Albert and Jacob Morton got 11 rebounds and 8 points between them. Down two points, the starters returned in the fourth quarter. Austin Harris got 8 rebounds and 6 points and Darby Barry got 6 points and 5 rebounds. The EEMS Falcon Boys' team went on to win 42-33 to bring our record to 4-1 on the year.

12. Yesterday at our home court the varsity girls jumped off to an early lead and never trailed. Kate, Larissa, Addreanna, Olivia, Sara, Mykayla, and Lydia all played well, featuring strong defense, dominating rebounding, and some good passing (featuring a behind the back pass).

At the buzzer the Falcons were well ahead of the Cohen Eagles team. Well done, girls. Today's practice is in the small gym from 3 to 4:30.
