Students will be bringing a packet home on Friday and an informational letter home today.
7. Parent Volunteer Training – The first Parent Volunteer Training is this Saturday at 9AM in the EEMS library. If you are a parent who wants to help out in your child’s classroom or go on field trips, please consider attending this session or one of the evening sessions that will take place in October and November (dates to be announced).
8. Varsity Boys’ Report - The Falcon boys varsity team opened up the season yesterday facing a tough Hampden team. The boys in maroon played a strong game, using short passes and great team communication throughout the game. The Falcons scored the lone first half goal when David Baugh took a Michael Palmer pass straight to the goal. David's first shot was stopped by the goalie but he followed the rebound and put the ball into the net. The Hampden team fought back with two goals in the second half and Miles Palmer got a great pass from big brother Michael. Miles saw that the goalie was playing way out of the net so Miles lofted a shot up and over into the net. The scored stayed 2-2 until late in the game when Hampden scored on a free kick. A tough way to end a very well played game to open the season. Great game boys. Practice today from 3 until 430.
9. The JV girls soccer team played their first game of the season last night vs Hampden. The girls played very aggressive and had over 16 shots on goal. The defense which included: Bianca, Kelsie, Mariah, Kaela and Trinity, along with the goalies Libby and Merceedez combined for the shut out. The girls won 1-0. Emily scored the teams only goal which was assisted by Merceedez. The girls next game is Friday at home vs Bucksport.
10. Varsity Girls' Report - After a 0-0 first half, Paige Sawyer scored the first goal of the game 10 minutes into the second half. Hampden came back to win the game by scoring two unanswered goals, the last one coming in the final minute.
11. JV Boys' Report - The JV Falcon boys fell 4-0 against Hampden.
