  1. We had a great turnout for last night’s Parent-Teacher Conferences. We look forward to seeing more parents on Thursday. There are still time slots available so don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher to find a time to come in. Thanks!

 

  1. The soccer season ends today with the boys at home vs. Doughty. Boys are reminded that your uniform will be collected after the game. Girls depart for Doughty at 2PM. Good luck in your finale.

 

  1. Boys’ varsity soccer will have a season ending get together tomorrow from 3-4:30. JV boys have their get together at Jordan’s Snack Bar on Thursday at 5PM.

 

  1. Halloween Costume Contest – Students are reminded that we will have a costume contest with cash prizes this Friday, October 27. Students in grades 5-8 are allowed to dress in costume for the day. Masks can only be worn during the contest.

 

  1. The annual Middle School Skills Camp run by Hancock County Technical Center takes place on Saturday, November 4. This is a half-day opportunity for students in grades 5-8 to take part in two of the seven technical programs offered at HCTC. A flyer for this program is being given to students today, and the $40 entry fee and permission form are to be sent to HCTC. All the details are on the flyer.

 

  1. JV boys soccer news – The JV boys have practice from 3-4:30 today, their last game tomorrow at home at 3PM, Wednesday is a day off, and the end of season celebration will be at Jordan’s Snack Bar at 5PM on.

 

  1. Birthdays – Happy Birthday wishes for this week go out to Aaliyah Manning, Savannah Hasham, Briana Kane, Gage Rotta-Butler, Joseph Bray, Alex Doty, Lucas Fendl, Kaden Swett, Jane Wu, Nataleigh Dorr, and Casey Carter. Happy Birthday to all of you!

 

  1. 8th grade reps will be meeting with homeroom students to generate a list of class trip possibilities. Once the list is compiled 8th graders will vote on the preferred trip.
