Morning Announcements, Grades 5-8, Monday, November 13, 2017

  1. EEMS spirit wear is being sold to benefit end of year events for our 8th There are size samples in the main lobby so parents can check out t-shirt and sweatshirt sizes before placing an order. Gym bags, sweat pants, and beanies are also on sale. A flyer will be coming home this week so you can place your order.

  1. The Drama Club continued to perform their play this past Thursday night and Saturday afternoon. The improvement from Thursday morning to Saturday afternoon was amazing! Congratulations on an excellent job!

The behavior of all of our students who saw the play last Thursday morning is to be complimented. It was very hard to hear the show, but you did a good job of remaining quiet throughout the performance. Thanks, also, to the many students who put the cafeteria back together in time for lunch. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.

  1. Grade 5 students are to report to the library right after these announcements, and grade 8 students are to meet in their hallway right after announcements. This is for a PBIS activity.

  1. The Winter Sports Parent Night is tonight at 6PM. Athletes are welcome to attend with their parents.

  1. Art Club for grade 5 starts tomorrow from 2:50-3:50.

  1. We have a Red, White, and Blue Spirit Day this Friday. Show your patriotism!

  1. EEMS is hosting the Instrumental and Vocal Honors Festival for our region this Saturday. This is an all day event that is capped off with an evening performance. To help with final preparations, there is a Visual and Performing Arts Booster’s meeting tomorrow at 4PM in the elementary music room. Food donations and volunteers for the festival will be discussed.

  1. More boxes for food donations have been put in the main lobby, and we hope to fill them by this Wednesday’s “Hands Across Ellsworth” activity. Please bring in a can of food or box of food between now and Wednesday’s big event, which starts at 8:30AM for students from grades K-5.

  • The glass wall in the cafeteria is now covered in stars that name the many veterans in your lives that have served our country. Feel free to continue adding stars throughout this month.

  • Birthday wishes go out this week to: Rafe Barber, Scott King, Maria Ray, Ellie Anderson, Jon-Paul Dayton, Wes Keim, and Everett Fontaine. Happy Birthday!
