Morning Announcements – Thursday, November 16, 2017, Grades 5-8


  1. Grade 7 students are to meet in the library right after these announcements for a PBIS activity.


  1. EEMS spirit wear is being sold to benefit end of year events for our 8th graders. There are size samples in the main lobby so parents can check out t-shirt and sweatshirt sizes before placing an order. Gym bags, sweat pants, and beanies are also on sale. A flyer was sent home yesterday so that you can place an order.


  1. Tomorrow is our Red, White, and Blue Spirit Day this Friday. Show your patriotism!


  1. EEMS is hosting the Instrumental and Vocal Honors Festival for our region this Saturday. 169 students are taking part and 14 are from Ellsworth. This is an all day event that is capped off with a 5PM concert. Entry fees for the concert are $5 for adults, $3 for students/seniors, and a $15 cap per family.


  1. EEMS students have the opportunity to walk and sing holiday songs in the Ellsworth Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 2. We’ll meet at the school and then bus to the start, which is at 11AM. A permission form will come out the Monday we return from Thanksgiving break.


  1. This is a notice that the MySchoolBucks program convenience fee that parents pay for online hot lunch will go up from $1.95 per payment to $2.49 per payment. This fee increase is the result of an increase in card scheme fees and will be effective as of December 11, 2017.
