6. Girls’ Varsity Basketball Report - After a snowy trip to Bucksport our Lady Falcons got off to a slow start and quickly fell behind by 12. By the end of the first quarter we cut the deficit to 2. Then in the second quarter the Lady Falcons only scored 3 points total to fall behind by 10 at halftime. In the second half our Lady Falcons finally got going. At the end of the third quarter we were down by only 3. In the final quarter we even managed to take a one point lead. But the Bucks hits some key foul shots in the final minutes. With only 9 seconds to go we were down by 2 and had the ball. Alas, our final shot fell short and we lost 41-39. Great second half girls. Our next game is today vs. Reeds Brook.

7. Girls’ JV Basketball Report - The JV Falcon girls traveled to Bucksport last night and came away with a 22 to 17 victory. The Bucksport girls were physically imposing, but our girls did not give up. Emma Kidder did a great job defending the girls underneath. Scoring for the Falcons were Hannah Wagstaff with 4, Megan Jordan with 6, Alex Bivins with 6, and Brooke Pirie with 6.
