I am one of 6 Kindergarten teachers at EEMS for the 2014-2015 school year. I have been teaching at EEMS for five years, the last four in Kindergarten.
I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. I worked for 15 years at Child Development Services in Hancock County as an Early Intervention Specialist. In 2010, I came to EEMS, teaching in one of our two Pre-K classes that year. In 2011, I moved to Kindergarten and have been happily there ever since.
Since graduating from UMF, I've continued to take classes to broaden my teaching certifications and qualifications. I am currently certified to teach Pre-school (birth - 5 years old), Kindergarten through 3rd grade (regular classroom), and Special Education (birth - Grade 8).
I enjoy being involved in our school's Parents Teachers Friends organization. In the local community, I am on the Hancock County Cooperative Extension Executive Committee and Special Children's Friends' Board of Directors.
