I have taught classroom music in Ellsworth since 2012. Currently I teach students in kindergarten through third grade, and I conduct the chorus for grades 6, 7, and 8. In early spring, I also run a short, after school program called "Music Makers" for students in grades 3, 4, and 5 who are interested in choral singing.
In the summer of 2014, I joined the Maine Arts Assessment Initiative: a group of arts educators from the state of Maine who work with other teachers on assessment, proficiency based learning, curriculum integration, and many other classroom techniques. Previously in Ellsworth, I have also taught fourth grade classroom music. Before coming to Ellsworth, I taught classroom music for students in kindergarten through sixth grade, choral music for students in third through eighth grade, and instrumental music for students in fourth grade in Jay, ME (Spruce Mountain).
In 2007, I graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. Since I arrived in Ellsworth, I have continued to perform professionally with the University Percussion Ensemble in Orono.
