Ellsworth School Department is preparing for a multi-year maintenance partnership across our district facilities, and we're looking to partner with a qualified and licensed contractor for the job!
The Ellsworth School Department is now accepting bids for a comprehensive HVAC Service/Maintenance Contract. The selected Contractor will provide all necessary qualified and licensed labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform Inspection, Preventative Maintenance, Testing, and Repair Services. This includes conducting bi-annual inspections and preventative maintenance on all air handlers, boilers, cooling units, pumps, motors, and mini splits , as well as ensuring proper operational safety and performance efficiency. Bidders must also have the specific ability to work within Niagara Building Automation Systems. The resulting contract will cover a 3-year term beginning July 1, 2026, with an option to extend subject to satisfactory performance. The project covers equipment at multiple locations, including Ellsworth High School, Ellsworth Elementary Middle School, Hancock County Technical Center, and the Ellsworth School Department Superintendent's Office (Central Office, Avery Lane). Bidders will be required to provide fixed hourly pricing for regular and emergency/after-hours service calls, along with quotes for non-emergency repairs.

Key dates for this project include an invited pre-bid site walk on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The deadline for submitting written questions regarding this Request for Bids is June 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM, with all clarifications and answers issued as a written addendum to participants by June 10, 2026. All final bids must be submitted by June 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Bids will be publicly opened and the names of the submitting contractors read aloud shortly after the submission deadline. The District anticipates awarding the contract on June 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM, with the proposed contract start date set for July 1, 2026.
