Building community and fostering a positive school culture can take many forms. At EEMS, we’re bringing everyone together by participating in a school-wide Spirit Week to celebrate the last week before break. Here’s the lineup: Merry Monday: Wear your favorite holiday gear. Today was Merry Monday—check out the photos below! Pajama Tuesday: Get cozy and wear your pajamas. Wacky Wednesday: Show off your crazy hair or favorite hat. You’re a Gift Thursday: Dress like a present. Festive Friday: Choose your team—wear red or green! It’s a fun way to share some joy and build connections before the holidays!

Today, Grade 8 students visited Hancock County Technical Center to explore various programs offered. Attached are photos of 8th graders engaged in activities in the Multimedia and Law Enforcement programs. Rumor has it that Mrs. Clifford may have been handcuffed during the visit!

Last week, middle school students had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Maine Mobile BIOLAB program, an innovative educational initiative sponsored by Educate Maine. This hands-on learning experience brought advanced science equipment and engaging experiments directly to the students, allowing them to explore biology in a dynamic and interactive way. The program aims to inspire curiosity, foster a deeper understanding of science, and encourage students to consider future careers in STEM fields. Linked are pictures of our grade 7 students in the mobile lab. Additional Information: https://www.educatemaine.org/mainemobilebiolab

On November 14, EEMS will be participating in World Diabetes Awareness Day by wearing all blue. This day is recognized globally to raise awareness about diabetes, support those affected, and encourage education on prevention and management of the condition. By wearing blue, we’re joining millions around the world to show our support for diabetes awareness. Let’s come together as a community and wear blue to help spread awareness!

With the support of PTF, EEMS is hosting a food drive to collect canned goods, ramen (beef or chicken), canned pasta, white pasta, canned meat, and macaroni and cheese. Students can place their donations in one of the designated boxes in the lobby. The box with the most contributions will decide the movie for the upcoming PTF movie night! Let’s join together to support our community.
