HCTC December SOTM

We are excited to announce our HCTC Students of the Month for December 2025! Each month, we are extremely proud to recognize some of our students who go above and beyond in everything they do while in our building. This month, we close out 2025 by honoring six students who make an impact in and out of the classroom each day.

TJ Treston - SOTM

TJ Treston - Multimedia Design

TJ was chosen for her exceptional leadership skills and work ethic. She approaches each project with her own style and creativity and sees her work through to the end. She is very well rounded with soft skills in addition to media proficiency. She treats others with fairness, respect, and is always willing to help out others, making her an outstanding part of her class.

Rowan Jergenson - SOTM

Rowan Jergenson - Health Occupations

Rowan has been an enthusiastic learner since she joined the CNA classroom. She is a kind and compassionate individual that is always thinking of others. She is a strong member of the team and gives 100% or more with her work. In the clinical setting Rowan shows skills with confidence and professionalism. She will be a Skills competitors in the Health Occupations Portfolio competition. Congratulations on a job well done, so far Rowan!

Aayden York - SOTM

Aayden York - Criminal Justice

Aayden is a CJ-2 student and is a joy to have in class. He is always willing to help out wherever he can. He volunteers for almost every community event we participate in. He has helped out at the Middle School Camp, Advisory Dinner, Thanksgiving meal delivery and Christmas for Kids. He is a very quiet student, that works hard, and is very knowledgeable in the Criminal Justice field. Aayden plans on joining the Air Force and later becoming a Game Warden. His work ethic and dedication should take him far in life.

Zoey Butler - SOTM

Zoey Butler - Culinary Arts

Zoey has a positive attitude and is quick to volunteer when help is needed. She arrives each day with a smile which brightens our Culinary space. Zoey is eager to learn new skills and always up for a challenge. She will be competing in SkillsUSA this spring as part of our Wedding Cake team. Keep up the good work, Zoey!

Brianna Ames - SOTM

Brianna Ames - SkillsUSA

Bri serves as our SkillsUSA Chapter Excellence Program chairperson. Recently Bri planned, organized and executed a school wide event for student to practice their teamwork skills. Her leadership to our local SkillsUSA chapter is greatly appreciated. Last year Bri was part of a team from the Education and Human Services program who earned a gold medal at the state level in the Career Pathways Human Services competition. She plans to compete in this competition again this year.

Brooke Downing - SOTM

Brooke Downing - Business Leadership & Hospitality

Brooke not only brings her positive personality to class each day, she also shows up prepared, provides great discussion points and ready for whatever the day brings. Brooke is an intern at the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce as part of the BL&H program. Heather Seavey, Director of the Chamber, recently shared how wonderful Brooke has done while interning, stating "I would take 6 Brookes!" Keep up the great work Brooke!
