**November 9, 2021 Ellsworth School Board Meeting Moved to EHS**
Due to the expected large turnout of attendees for the Tuesday November 9, 2021 Ellsworth School Board Meeting, the meeting location has been moved from City Council Chambers to the gymnasium at Ellsworth High School. The meeting will convene at 6:00 p.m. and will be live streamed on the Ellsworth School Department YouTube Channel.
Consistent with the provisions of the Framework for Return to School for 2021-22 plan approved by the Ellsworth School (amended September 14, 2021), all those attending will be required to wear facemasks and maintain spacing of three feet to the extent possible. Chairs will be set up three feet apart.
Specific guidelines regarding Public Comment consistent with Ellsworth School Department Policy BEDH Public Participation at School Board Meetings will be provided at the beginning of the meeting. The Board appreciates the cooperation of all attendees at the meeting.
The City of Ellsworth Broadband Committee has developed and is distributing this survey in order to collect information on residential and commercial internet connectivity in the City. All names and
addresses will be kept confidential and the data will be summarized to understand the needs of our community. Your input is essential in planning for potential broadband expansion in the City.

Request For Assistance - This morning at approximately 7:45 a.m., one of our staff members observed a student walking towards EEMS from the Mill Mall/YMCA parking lot. While walking near the baseball field, the student was told by another parent that there was no school. The student then ran back towards the Mill Mall Parking lot. We ask for your help in identifying the student so we can ensure that he returned home safely. Due to notification of a positive COVID-19 Case associated with an individual at Ellsworth High School late last evening, Ellsworth High School students will participate in remote programming at EHS and HCTC on Monday September 20. EHS students will receive class links from their teachers and follow the attached bell schedule. EHS students attending HCTC will receive links from their instructors Monday morning and follow their regular schedule remotely.
All after-school co and extra curricular activities at EHS are cancelled for Monday September 20
HCTC students from Bucksport High School, Mount Desert Island High School, Sumner Memorial High School, Deer Isle Stonington High School, and George Stevens Academy will have in-person classes at HCTC as regularly scheduled. Bridge Academy students will attend their academic courses at EHS remotely.
Students at EEMS and Ellsworth Adult Education will attend classes based on their regular schedule.

On March 11, 2021, the President signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). The American Rescue Plan funds have been allocated to districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students. As part of receiving funds, the Ellsworth School Department must create a plan for use of the funds and give the public an opportunity to provide input in the development of its plan. We want your input on how to utilize the funds to best support our students.
